Halloween is tomorrow, what better way to keep the spookiness of the season going than reading a spooky story?
As you all may know, my daughter and I are quite the bookworms and when Dime Novel Publishing and Jason Thibeault offered to send me a book for my daughter to read, I happily obliged. To make it an even more exciting experience for my 7 year-old, Jason sent me a signed copy and I will also be giving away a signed copy to one lucky Whispered Inspirations' readers!
We started reading the first few chapters and Gabriella was already intrigued by the characters (Rebecca's school is named Navarrete, which is my maiden name, yes I was geeked about that) and the eerie and mysterious land that Rebecca, the main character stumbled upon. A land where everyday is Halloween where ghosts, ghouls and goblins roam looking for a bite and what is on the menu is YOU.
When Rebecca fell down a hole and landed in here, the enchanted kingdom stuck in Halloween, she landed on Gertrude, the kingdom's witch and to make matters worse, she broke her wand! The wand that had the power to lift the curse which enveloped the entire Kingdom. Now Rebecca and her twin brother Dillon (who has been accepted as the new gremlin leader) need to brave the enchanted cursed land and Rebecca needs to get the wand fixed and back to Gertrude by sunset.
Jason Thibeault has started a great series and I look forward into reading more. I am so happy when authors make reading magical for our children, especially at an early age where this habit becomes an enjoyable pastime that lasts into adulthood.
