With all of the resolution talk, I thought it would be a good week to talk about, not resolutions, but just what goals we have in general.

One of the things on my personal to-do list is learning more about photography. I am learning about my camera and look forward to learning more about taking great pictures now that I have a camera capable of it. I would also like to start with learning German again. When I was in school I took German and really enjoyed it.

As for my online goals- I am so excited about the growth of Canadian Moms and the community of friends we have here. I am going to do what I can to support all of you fabulous Canadian women, meet more fabulous Canadian women and just continue improving the site. I also need to spend more time on Kat's Confessions again. With all of the changes on Canadian Moms and my personal life it has been a little neglected the last couple of months. Another online goal- spend more time taking part on Twitter. I am still not totally comfortable on Twitter so sometimes I find it hard to jump in (and sometimes I end up talking to myself when I do! LOL). So, if you see me on there, I would love to have a chat! I really need to get on @KatsConfessions more too. Oy! Maybe some time management classes would be good too! Lol!

Anyway, those are the things I would like to start in 2011, not accomplished, but at least started.

Have you ever lived in another country?  

I have never lived in another country but I have lived in a few places right here in good ol' Canada!

I was born in Surrey, British Columbia and then moved to Aldergrove, Mission, Hatzic, and Chilliwack (British Columbia). When I was 23 I moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta.

The  getting to know you question this week is:

Which languages do you speak?  

I speak english ,a tiny bit of french and german that I learned in school and smattering of tai swear words that my best friend taught me in highschool! Lol.

Hello Everyone!

I know I missed putting the question up last week and this week it's late, I apologize! It has been a little busy here in my personal life. I promise next week things will be back on track!

The question is:

What was the last book you read?  

The last book I read was Venom and Song. I did a review for the young adult fantasy book. I was actually really impressed with it. I generally am more of a mystery/suspense/thriller kind of girl and have never gotten into many fantasy books.

It was the second book in a series and so I think the next book I will read is the first one.

So what if it is for young adults? Maturity of a young adult qualifies right?!

It's time for the Getting to Know You Question of the Week!

Do you have any pets?  

No pets for us here. When I was growing up we always had pets. Birds, fish, dogs, and cats. With all of the work and the costs that come with taking care of pets we have chosen not to have any at this time. As I tell my kids, I have enough animals in this house to take care of! LOL! 

I can't believe it is Monday! Seriously, I swear each week goes faster and faster!

Here is the question of the week:

What's your favorite food?  

Hmm.. that is a difficult question for me. I really don't have an answer for that one! What can I say, I'm a cancer. We LOVE food!  There is very little I don't like and so much I adore! Picking one food is just not possible for me!

 I am going to stay pretty general for this one. I love Tai food! That is what I crave if I go to long without it! Lol. My best friend is Tai (she is a mod here! Say hi Marie!!),  I practically lived at her house as a teen. That is when I was first introduced to authentic Tai food. I have learned how to make some of my fave dishes myself so that I can have it whenever I want. We also have "Tai nights" at my house. It's great! We get together and start cooking! Our guys love it! They spend the day dodging us so they don't have to help (never works out for them for long though) and then spend the night stuffing their faces! It is so much fun! If any of you are ever in the Medicine Hat area give us a call!

Are you a 'morning' or 'night' person?  

I am totally a night person. I feel more awake and have way more oomph to get things done at night. My kids know that first thing in the morning is NOT the best time to ask Mom for anything. At least not until the first pot of coffee is consumed! LOL!

So sorry I missed last week! It has been crazy busy here! So here is the new question for the week:

What are your hobbies?  

I like to read, crochet, and blog mostly when I have the time. Hobbies is kind of a once in a while thing for me, well not blogging but reading and crocheting. I find it difficult to fit hobbies in. There just never seems to be enough time in a day.

When I read I hate to stop before I am ready so basically there is no reading while the kids are up! Lol. Crocheting is also difficult when the kids are up because my 22 month old figures everything I make is for her and she should have it NOW!  I will be in the middle of a stitch and all of a sudden it is being pulled out of my hands! Lol.

So What are your hobbies?

What is your motto in life?  

My motto in life is treat others as you want to be treated. It is a simple concept but one that is lost on a lot of people. I have said this to my children many times.

It is sad that there is so much discrimination, lying, cheating and just bad treatment of others in general in the world. I believe that if we all treated each other with the respect, kindness  and honesty we expect from others it would be a much better place.
