This weeks "Getting To Know You" question isn't really a question but should be fun!

Tell us three things about you we don't already know.

1. I am painfully shy. No, really I am! I am very quiet until I get comfortable around new people and then they tend to go into shock when they start getting to know the "real" me. You have no idea how hard Twitter is for me at times! LOL!

2. I have a potty mouth. Not always but I can swear like a sailor when I want to.

3. I can't stand cucumbers. I don't mind sauces like Tzatziki sauce  or Creamy cucumber salad dressing but straight cucumber, not happening.
  

Now, what 3 things are you going to tell us? 

It is amazing to me that we are heading straight into February. Where the heck did January go?! With the big day of love approaching, my question is:

What do you do for Valentine's Day?

Every few years my husband and I will go out for dinner and I am given some flowers or something. Lol. It is pretty much a normal day here. I always get the kids a little Valentine's Day treat and they have their school parties.

Sounds like a blast, eh?!  

Here's is a question that could have some very interesting answers!

If you were invisible, where would you go?

Hmmm..I think I would have to take a trip to each of my boys schools! I am sure it would be interesting to see what they are up to while Mom isn't watching!  Lol!

It's time for the Getting to know you question!

Have you ever met a famous person?  

Unless a smurf counts, I have not met a famous person. :) I have seen famous people from a distance though! I went to a Shania Twain concert for my birthday many years  ago and I went to the Juno awards when I was a teen as well! It was a huge thing because they were held in Vancouver instead of Toronto. :)

I was reading a post one day about theme songs and I thought it would be a great getting to know you qustion! I can't remember what blog it was but if it was yours or you know what blog it was please let me know. Thanks! :) So here goes:

If your life was a movie, what would be your theme song?

Now for most of us, I think it would depend on what part of your life. Thinking about my life as it is now, my theme song would be Phil Vassar's- Just Another Day in Paradise.

With all of the resolution talk, I thought it would be a good week to talk about, not resolutions, but just what goals we have in general.

One of the things on my personal to-do list is learning more about photography. I am learning about my camera and look forward to learning more about taking great pictures now that I have a camera capable of it. I would also like to start with learning German again. When I was in school I took German and really enjoyed it.

As for my online goals- I am so excited about the growth of Canadian Moms and the community of friends we have here. I am going to do what I can to support all of you fabulous Canadian women, meet more fabulous Canadian women and just continue improving the site. I also need to spend more time on Kat's Confessions again. With all of the changes on Canadian Moms and my personal life it has been a little neglected the last couple of months. Another online goal- spend more time taking part on Twitter. I am still not totally comfortable on Twitter so sometimes I find it hard to jump in (and sometimes I end up talking to myself when I do! LOL). So, if you see me on there, I would love to have a chat! I really need to get on @KatsConfessions more too. Oy! Maybe some time management classes would be good too! Lol!

Anyway, those are the things I would like to start in 2011, not accomplished, but at least started.

Hello ladies! I hope your Christmas was full of love, laughter, peace, eating and magic!

The getting to know you question of the week is:

What was the best part of Christmas day?

We had a fabulous Christmas day! It was all fantastic and I wouldn't change a thing but the best part was the look on my children's faces when they came down the stairs and saw this:

(Please excuse Sierra's appearance. She was half asleep and in the process of getting out of her pajamas when she heard Grandma's voice. There is no stopping her from getting to Grandma! LOL)

Where do you like to vacation?  

We are not able to vacation every year with my husband's job but every couple of years we take a trip out to British Columbia. It is great to go home to see my friends and family but sometimes we are so busy trying to fit a visit in with everyone it doesn't seem like much of a vacation. One year I would love to go somewhere we have never been and really relax!

Hey guys! I just realized I totally flaked on the the question of the week this week! So sorry! So, without further ado here it is:

Would you rather take pictures or be in pictures?

I would much rather take pictures. I am generally not very photogenic so I am better off behind the camera! I would love to learn more about photography and take awesome pictures like some of you do!

What is most memorable about your high school years?  

The most memorable thing about my high school years is the friends I made. I wasn't a popular girl, the pretty girl,  or the smart girl. Really,  I just liked to blend. I would go out of my way to make myself invisible.

There were those that did see me though, and I still talk to them to this day. Those friends are the ones that know me almost better than I know myself. The ones that have been with me through the good, bad, ugly and everything in between.

One of the most memorable events in High School was the grad cruise! It was so much fun!
