Meet Shemeka!

I’m sure you’re all wondering, “who is she and why should we read her story?” Let let me tell you why. My story is fun, full of laughter and possibly unlike any other you have ever read. Here goes:

To start my name is Shemeka Dorsett; I wasn’t always a Dorsett though. Born in South America with my Guyanese family, I known as the shy one, it wasn’t until high school that I really started being friendlier. 5 years after moving to Canada from Grenada in the West Indies, I met a fantastic guy and married him. Of course it didn’t happen that quickly or easily, like any fairy tale we had our bumps in the road – no wicked witches or crazy tornados though. But we almost had our wedding day cancelled and some dress drama and you ask any bride and that’s more than enough to start a national protest. After marrying my now husband and moving in together we had a little surprise and his name is Ethan-James. Possibly the best surprise I’ve ever had to date. He worked his way into our lives 6 weeks shy of his Christmas day due date and has rocked our world ever since. Seeing my son in the nursery hooked up to more wires than our electrical circuit was no holiday or a fun-time, nevertheless, we stayed strong and positive that he would be home healthy and before Christmas, which he did, but landed right back into the hospital soon after coming home because of that pesky R.S.V. But needless to say, he is fine now, strong and about to start biting….I can see 2 little teeth about to push out….YIKES! Feeding is going to be wonderful.

5 months into my maternity leave I decided to start my own business because working a 9-5 is really not my cup of tea and I never really imagined myself doing it for the rest of my life. So with making good use of the opportunity I have now to put into the business, as well as the energy and time I would say I am making really good headway. My business, Pamper-Me Please! is a feel good company. We make everything from cute diaper cakes to elegant towel cakes. I always had an eye for creative styling and fashion, and fusing the two together was just perfect and easy for me to do what I am currently doing. I thoroughly enjoy what I do and wouldn’t trade it for the world. I am grateful for my current and past customers and hope to work with you very soon.

This ends my story in a nutshell. If you would like to know more about me, send me an email, add me as a friend here or on Facebook, follow me on Twitter or visit our business website at:
